All proceeds will go to the purchase of new Scientific Reading Associates (SRA) books for our students.  We were notified by the state that Laurel Nokomis School is in the top 10% of schools!  We believe this success comes from our strong emphasis on reading!  Laurel Nokomis School participates in the county wide reading curriculum--Storytown--but also supplements this program with Scientific Reading Associates curriculum or SRA.  Due to our strong focus on reading, most of our kindergartners are reading on a 2nd to 3rd grade level.  Because SRA is not part of the county curriculum, the school is responsible for all associated costs.  We are in need of replacing our 8 year old books to our student’s and it is a $13,000 per grade endeavor.  Please join us as we help make reading a priority for the children of Laurel Nokomis School and "Give the Kids the Keys to Reading Success."

The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.
